What is pink eye?
Pink eye is a generic term for an eye infection, often caused by the same virus that causes the common cold (adenovirus). While these are generally self limiting, we often treat the symptoms with artificial tears and may prescribe an antibiotic drop to prevent a concurrent bacterial infection.
