Dr. Stephen N. Polezonis
Dr. Polezonis received his BA in History from DePauw University, Greencastle, Indiana, in May 1977. He has studied at Trinity College, Hartford, CT (Economics), Central Connecticut State University (Basic Sciences and Mathematics) and the University of Houston (pre-Optometry). He received his Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in May 1987, with externships at the Gessell Institute of Human Development, Western Massachusetts State Hospital, Bristol Eye Associates and Dorchester House Health Center as well as the Contact Lens Clinic at the Boston Optometric Center. He received his Therapeutics Certification from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1992 and his Advanced Optometric Practice Certification and Diplomate in Glaucoma from the State University of New York College of Optometry in 1996.

Professional affiliations include the American Optometric association, Connecticut Association of Optometrists (including the education committee) and the Connecticut Lions Low Vision Center (Advisor).

Dr. Polezonis has been in practice in central Connecticut since 1987 in a variety of settings including private practice, nursing home, group Optometric and multi-disciplinary group practice including the Yale University Health Center. He joined DR. PAVANO & Associates in 2003 and practices full scope Optometric care in New Britain and Bristol, providing comprehensive eye examinations for children and adults, contact lens fitting and ocular disease treatment and management, including glaucoma. Our New Britain office is fully equipped with the latest diagnostic technologies to fully diagnose, manage and treat your eyes.

Both offices are located within Your Eyes Eyecare Centers offering eyewear, contact lenses and in office lab services.
