Comprehensive Eye Exam
Dr. Pavano & Associates offer yearly comprehensive medical eye examinations. This detailed examination includes a complete review of patient personal health history, family history, social history, and review of systems. Additionally we test visual acuity, with and without glasses, distance and near, Ishihara color vision testing, stereopsis (depth perception), muscle balance testing, autokeratometry (measuring of the cornea), auto refraction (computer-aided refraction), subjective refraction, pupillary testing, anterior segment evaluation with a biomicroscope, tonometry (pressure check for glaucoma), posterior segment evaluation (looking into the eyes with a ophthalmoscope). This last test may require the pupils to be dilated, and may be done at the doctor’s discretion. We recommend a comprehensive medical eye exam once a year.
